CORPUS CHRISTI - New ambulances purchased for the Corpus Christi Fire Department will go into service next week. Fire crews went through the ambulances today before they head out to fire stations.
There's a shortage of ambulance personnel, so the department will staff them with firefighters.
The firefighter's association claims the decision not to hire additional personnel is putting the public at risk.
