CORPUS CHRISTI - The cold front that barreled through the Coastal Bend early yesterday morning delivered quite a punch as it brought temperatures tumbling into the 60s yesterday afternoon, 30s this morning, and only looking for the mid-60s again this afternoon.
Look for a partly cloudy day today as winds will be relatively calm compared to yesterday's high wind values. We should top out around 64 degrees this afternoon with a more east-northeast wind around 6-12mph. Average high temperatures for this time of year are in the upper 60s, at 68 degrees, so not too far from the norm expected today.
Tonight, partly to mostly cloudy skies return to South Texas with light winds staying in place and temperatures falling into the upper 40s to lower 50s.
We will warm things up for the weekend as temperatures climb into the upper 70s to lower 80s before another strong front arrives Christmas evening and send temperatures back below seasonal levels in the upper 50s to lower 60s for highs.
Have a great weekend!
