CORPUS CHRISTI - It was a very warm Wednesday afternoon as temperatures rose into the upper 70s to even some lower 80s in the city. A cold front did blow through the Coastal Bend and kicked up the winds out of the northwest around 15-30mph, but they should begin to die down the further into the evening and overnight hours we go. The exception will be right along the coastline where breezy conditions will stay put for most of tonight and into tomorrow.

Tonight, we will have a few high clouds that will stream overhead like previous nights from the subtropical jet stream, but will still allow temperatures to dip into the lower 40s with some upper 30s once again possible for our northern locations. Wind will vary from 5-15mph with the stronger winds near the coastline.

Thursday will be another dry and sunny day for most of South Texas. Temperatures will be much cooler than today with highs only reaching the upper 60s and lower 70s for many area locations. Winds will be on the elevated side around 10-20mph, but should not affect outdoor plans too much.

A reinforcing shot of cool air arrives late Friday and will hold temperatures in the upper 60s for the first half of the weekend. Mostly clear skies will also allow overnight lows to dip into the upper 30s Friday and Saturday morning. Winds will pick back up to windy levels around 20-30mph on Monday and Tuesday as another front arrives in the Coastal Bend late Tuesday. Temperatures will also increase into the 80s in anticipation of the front, before cooling down again on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the front looks to come through dry as well with no rain.

Have a great evening!
