Near Record Heat This Week

Unusually warm weather will beat Texas for the rest of the week. High pressures has rebuilt over much of southwest leading us to a prolonged period of sweltering weather. High today 96 which should tie the all time record maximum for the day. No relief at night. Overnight lows will stay in the upper 78 through the weekend.

The Heat Index will stress your body like it will be at 105 for through Sunday. That is the level where all of you should back off strenuous weather during afternoon heating between 2 pm and 4 pm.

The tropics: Tropical Storm Catalina is moving along the Mexican Pacific Coast. No organized activity in the Atlantic.
