CORPUS CHRISTI - Police at the Flour Bluff substation (Waldron and Graham Road) arrested 47-year-old Mario Bazan last night for drug possession after noticing suspicious behavior at the gas station right across the street from their offices.

Officials say Bazan parked at the gas pumps for some time while he met with another driver. After finishing their conversation the driver left in different directions.

Police pulled over Bazan along S. Padre Island Drive. An officer noticed a syringe in Bazan's pocket during the traffic stop. A search of the vehicle and Bazan turned up several pills, baggies of cocaine and heroin, and more drug paraphernalia.

Along with the drug possession charges, Bazan was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign, failure to use a turn signal and failure to display a drivers license.
