CORPUS CHRISTI - A young woman accused of leading Corpus Christi police on a chase while wearing only cowboy boots was in court today to plead not guilty to evading arrest. Taylor Burnham's trial date is now set for early January in Judge Sandra Watts' courtoom.

Back in February, police said they tried talking to Burnham after they found her with just her cowboy boots on near some homes in the 4500 block of Cedar Pass. Police say she got into a Jeep and took off before they could find out what was going on.

During a pursuit that only reached speeds of 30 miles per hour, police say Burnham drove the Jeep onto a sidewalk on Everhart before finally coming to a stop at the intersection with Saratoga.

Burnham is also charged with driving while intoxicated. She's expected back in court on that charge in February.
