CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The schedule for the 2013-2014 season of the North American Hockey League and 16th season of hockey in Corpus Christi has been released and the IceRays will begin play in Topeka on September 13th and 14th before continuing up to the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, MN. The home opening weekend will take place on September 27th and 28th as the IceRays welcome in the Texas Tornado.
At the NAHL Showcase the IceRays will go up against the Minot Minotauros, Coulee Region Chill, Minnesota Wilderness, and Port Huron Fighting Falcons before hosting the Texas Tornado for home opening weekend on September 27th and 28th at 7:05PM.
Corpus Christi will once again head north for the second straight season kicking off a six game road trip to visit Alaska battling the Fairbanks IceDogs on October 4th and 5th before heading south to face Kenai River on the 11th and 12th of October. The road trip ends in Amarillo to take on the Bulls October 18th and 19th.
The IceRays will not see Rio Grande Valley in regular season play until December 20th when they host the Killer Bees at 7:05PM inside the American Bank Center.
Both Fairbanks and Kenai River will also make appearances in the Coastal Bend. The IceDogs come to town January 31st and February 1st at 7:05PM while Kenai River won't show until March 7th and 8th.
Things should get interesting at the end as Corpus Christi will face Rio Grande Valley five straight times to finish out the regular season from March 12 - March 29th. Three games will be inside American Bank Center while the other two will take place at State Farm Arena, home of the Killer Bees.
