CORPUS CHRISTI - A suspect is in custody in connection with a shooting death at a local convenience store. 18-year-old Jose Angel Macias turned himself in to the City Detention Center just after midnight. He was booked and charged with murder. His bond was set at $200,000.
Police say 21-year-old Casimiro Guerra was shot while sitting in a car at the Stripes Store at Ayers and Bevcreast. The shooting happened after a fight at the pump just before midnight on Sunday.
Today would have been Guerra's 22nd birthday.
