CORPUS CHRISTI - A man is fighting for his life today after a motorcycle accident last night at Rodd Field Rd. near Williams.
Police say a woman pulled into the road and was hit by two motorcyclists who were riding in a larger group. The 65-year-old woman had apparently stopped in the center lane as the motorcyclists tried to pass her. When she thought they had all gone by, she pulled back out into traffic, then the riders hit her Pontiac.
One of the motorcycles was on fire when police arrived. Both riders and the woman in the car were taken to the hospital.
The motorcyclists were wearing helmets. However, one did suffer life-threatening injuries.
Police haven't said what caused the wreck, but a witness did say the men on the bikes had been speeding before it happened.
Traffic investigators are still looking into the incident.
