CORPUS CHRISTI - An early morning motorcycle accident along Padre Island Drive claimed the life of 35-year-old Brad Hall on his birthday.
Hall was traveling north on his motorcycle near the intersection Old Brownsville Road exit when police say he rode close too to the center divider and crashed into a light pole.
Hall was already dead when paramedics arrived. The force of the impact caused significant trauma.
Police closed parts of SPID until 2:30 Sunday morning while investigating. They are still looking in to what caused Hall to crash, but believe speed was factor.
"One of the witness was telling us she thought he was going very fast . But we only have actually the one witness to the crash. So again we are going to have to go back and look at the evidence that we find at the scene to help us determine if we can the speed of the motorcycle," says Lt. Chris McClure, CCPD.
Brad Hall was a father and leaves behind children and a girlfriend.
