CORPUS CHRISTI - A mother of three did not show up for her eviction hearing today now has five days to appeal the motion or move out of her home.
Maria Carrejo lost custody of her 3 young children after a Child Protective Services caseworker found two of them home alone in October. The caseworker says one of the children was seen trying to bite a lightbulb.
The mother was arrested when she returned home to find officers and CPS at her apartment. Carrejo is eight months pregnant. For now her three children remain in foster care.
