CORPUS CHRISTI - It's the last thing you expect to find at a park near an elementary school: a bloody syringe. A mother and her children came across one, however, at Belaire Park this afternoon.
An officer said they've found drug paraphanelia in local parks before and said it can be dangerous because you never know what's in it or if it could carry diseases. The officer said they'll get rid of the syringe. One of the little boys who saw it said he's scared now.
"That is kind of scary because tomorrow's my birthday and it's going to be here but I don't want to get sick or nothing like that," he said.
