CORPUS CHRISTI - Temperatures this afternoon will be a bit warmer than previous days as the cold front that swept the Coastal Bend last Friday is losing its influence in our region. Still, expect a fairly seasonal day with temperatures getting into the mid to lower 80s across most of South Texas under mostly sunny skies. Winds will be fairly light and turn more out of the southeast around 6-12 miles per hour.
Sandy has gone post-tropical and more of noreaster now in the northeast and is still causing a mess load of problems for the residents there. Torrential downpours, heavy snowfall, major flooding, and widespread power outages are just some of the problems that continue at this time.
Back home here for us, a completely differen story. Tonight, expect a few clouds to be around the area, so we'll call it partly cloudy with an overnight low in the mid-60s with a light southeast wind around 6 miles per hour.
Wednesday, Halloween, looks very similar to today with slightly warmer temperatures expected. Highs should reach the middle 80s with light winds and generally clear skies. Trick-or-Treating should be very nice as well with temperatures in the lower 80s at 4PM and cooling into the upper to mid 70s by 8PM.
Rain chances pick up into the weekend as more moisture moves into South Texas and of our next system. Right now it looks as if temperatures will back off into the middle to lower 70s by Sunday with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms.
