CORPUS CHRISTI - An absolutely gorgeous day has unfolded over the Coastal Bend on this Saturday afternoon as only a few clouds have made their way into the region and gave way to mostly sunny skies. Afternoon temperatures have rebounded into the 70s, just a bit above seasonal average, and some low level moisture is beginning to return from the gulf as winds are have shifted to the southeast.
Tonight, expect calm and cool conditions as temperatures drop into the mid to lower 50s along the coast with a few areas inland that fall into the upper 40s. There is the possibility to see some early morning fog as winds will be light and variable, so commuters are urged to use caution on the roadways as visibility could drop between 2-4 miles or less.
Sunday will be another beautiful day with mostly sunny skies and light winds from the southeast around 6-12mph and temperatures nearing the mid-70s.
A weak front will shift winds temporarily to the northeast on early Monday morning and will do very little to cool temperatures down Monday afternoon as highs are expected to drop from the mid-70s to lower 70s and upper 60s on Tuesday. A warm up then starts again by the middle and end of next week before another front, a bit stronger than Monday's front, will move in just in time for the weekend. Unfortunately, rainfall looks sparse and will only be a few tenths for the few lucky residents that get some rain with either system.
Have a great weekend!
