CORPUS CHRISTI - A bizarre series of events has Corpus Christi police keeping an eye out for an ex-boyfriend accused of kicking in the front door of a woman's home at the Northside Manor Apartments.
The first call to 911 claimed there was a drive-by shooting at the building, but the work of several officers discovered it was a domestic dispute.
Police say the "most recent ex-boyfriend" of the woman found her with another man when he broke in around 11 a.m. The two men may have gotten into a fight as police found blood in the apartment, possibly from a busted nose.
Officers think the ex-boyfriend tried to get away in a Jeep Cherokee, but he crashed into the fence around the apartments. The ex-girlfriend may have picked him up and dropped him off somewhere else so he would not get into trouble.
She did come back to the apartment. However, police say she is not being cooperative. The guy who was in the apartment with the woman also fled the area before police showed up.
