CORPUS CHRISTI -- Corpus Christi Firefighters spent the morning battling a very large fire in the Calallen area.
The fire broke out sometime after 6 this morning in the 5200 block of Northwest Trail.
The fire burned two neighboring houses.
Police on the scene tell us everyone was able to make it out of the burning homes, but two people did suffer burns in the blaze. A man and woman in the first home to catch fire had to be treated for burns. The woman is currently at Spohn Memorial Hospital being treated for burns on her upper body. Doctors are treating the man for minor burns.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out around 7:20, there's still no word on what started it, but we're told downed power lines did make it more difficult to fight.
