CORPUS CHRISTI- Upper level high pressure will continue to dominate our weather over the next week or so. This will result in more wind producing dangerous heat index values during the afternoon hours with lots of sunshine and no rain thru the weekend and well into next week.
Dorian is no threat and weaker today than yesterday but is now expected to take a more southern track next week. We will continue to monitor closely.
Today and Saturday will be mostly sunny rather breezy and blistering hot with a high today of 97 and 98 tomorrow. The heat index tops out at 106-112 and dangerous for anyone spending extended periods of time outdoors.
Tonight expect fair skies breezy and a warm stuffy low of 79.
Sunday will be baking hot and with more wind expect highs in the upper 90's.
