CORPUS CHRISTI- Tropical moisture will continue to be in place across south Texas but with a lack of a triggering mechanism except for the late afternoon sea breeze little in the way of rain fall is expected again this week. However next week is different as another tropical wave will approach and scattered showers will start slowly on Sunday and increase after that. "Chantal" in the Atlantic is no threat over the next 7 days but beyond that the latest computer models try to bring in across Florida and into the eastern Gulf.
Today and Wednesday expect variable sunshine breezy very humid and hot with only stray showers and a high today of 96 and 97 tomorrow. The heat index will be stifling and top out at 105-110.
Tonight we will have fair skies nearly calm and a low of 78.
