Moody Trojans Back in State Championship

ROUND ROCK, TX - The Moody Trojans advance to the class 4A state high school baseball championship game.

The Whitehouse Wildcats fell one game short in a game that could have gone either way.

Moody defeated Whitehouse 3 to 2 Thursday night at Dell Diamond.

Both teams benefited from their opponents mistakes. Moody took a 1 to 0 lead in the first inning after a wild pitch. Whitehouse tied the game in the third inning after an error.

The Trojans immediately answered with a run in the bottom of the third. The Wildcats once again tied the game in the fourth.

It looked like Moody took reclaimed the lead in the fifth inning, but the run was taken back after an interference call. Moody scored the game winning run with two outs in the sixth inning after another infield error.

The Wildcats finish the season 31-9. Moody ( 33-6-1) will play Tomball Friday night 7:00 p.m. in Round Rock, Texas.
