Missouri Governor Sends National Guard to Ferguson

MISSOURI - The National Guard is being sent in to Ferguson, Missouri to help restore order and peace.

Authorities held a press conference overnight saying additional steps would be taken to quiet the violence in Ferguson, more than a week after unarmed 18 year old Michael Brown was shot and killed by police.

In that press conference, Captain Ron Johnson said two or three people were hurt in shooting incidents in Ferguson on Sunday, no law enforcement officers were hurt or involved in the shootings.

Seven or eight arrests were made for failure to disperse.

Schools in Ferguson will closed on Monday because of the continuing unrest.
