Mia Gordon joins KRIS all the way from our northern neighbor Toronto, Canada and she is happy to be turning in her snow clothes and ready to enjoy the beach.

Before moving to Texas, Mia was on a tennis scholarship to University of Louisiana Lafayette. She got to experience Mardi Gras and the Cajun lifestyle as well as an internship at the ABC affiliate, KATC.

She won first place for a Sports Radio story that she did on the "Return of the IceGators" for the Society of Professional Journalism and knew she wanted to be a reporter for her love of telling stories.

When she is not telling stories, Mia loves getting to know the city. She enjoys relaxing at the beach, running, and of course, playing tennis.
