Men Wanted for Attempted Home Burglary

CORPUS CHRISTI - Surveillance images provided by Corpus Christi police show two men wanted for home invasions that happened early Tuesday morning. The photos show the men arrive in a white Volkswagen Jetta before breaking into a parked car.

A homeowner on Greenbriar Drive says she heard sounds coming from her door before coming face-to-face with a man who demanded she let him in. She refused and went to call 911. At the same time, she noticed a total of three men trying to open the garage door.

All of the robbers had their faces covered. Still images from the security video show a white Volkswagen Jetta pull up to the home.

Police are not sure if the same men are connected to a home invasion about an hour earlier on Fitzhugh Drive.

In that incident, a 14-year-old says a loud noise woke him up. He ended up coming face-to-face with a Hispanic man wearing something over his face, a white muscle shirt and blue jeans, while carrying a baseball bat.

The man was apparently surprised to find someone was home because he ran out the front door.
