AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas A&M - Corpus Christi men's and women's track and field teams competed at the 86th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Thursday, hosted by the University of Texas. The men's 4x800 meter relay team broke the school record while five Islanders clocked new personal-best times at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
"Overall we did some really good things and anytime we can move significantly up on the all-time list is a good outing," Head Coach Shawn Flanagan said. "The men's 4x800 relay team was really good along with the men's steeplechase and both men's and women's 10k races. We had some good performances all around and we will continue to drive on tomorrow."
Valentinas Rudys, Cordarius Edmondson, Brandon Lacy and Bryce Johnston highlighted the day in the men's 4x800 meter relay. The four teamed up to break the school record with a school-best time of 7:37.95 to finish in fourth place.
Philipp Baar and Daniel Barlow competed in the men's 3000m steeplechase. Baar clocked a personal-best time of 9:06.63 to place fourth in his heat and 12th overall. His time is good for second all-time in Islanders history. Barlow followed with a time of 9:49.08.
In the women's 1500m, Jasmine Boutte crossed the line with a time of 4:46.96 while Paul Hansel clocked a season-best time of 3:59.34.

The Islanders wrapped the day in the men's and women's 10k. Justin Adame and Christoph Hintz posted personal-best times in the men's 10k.
