CORPUS CHRISTI - Friends and family of the motorcyclist who died after losing control of his bike last week, gathered to pay their final respects to a man who they say had a heart big enough for everybody.

"Everywhere we road with you, we'll ride with you again. And we'll ride down that highway that never ends. Salud to you, salud to you."

Laredo Gin wrote those words for his fallen friend, Richard Pauline, or "Rico" as he liked to be called. The two have known each other since the 70's and they were both proud member's of the "Million-Mile Club."

"We've been all over the country together, up through the Midwest and all through Texas we were the Texas trailriders," said Gin.

Today, Laredo joined several others to pay their final respects to 65 year old Rico, who lost his life last week when he lost control of his bike on the I-37 curve onto Crosstown.

So his family and friends all revved up their bikes for a memorial procession in Rico's honor. Rico's friends tell me he was a life-long rider who spent every year participating in the Toys For Tots ride.

"Oh, he's going to be greatly missed. He was a great father, he was a great husband, a great friend, a great uncle, a great son, he was just a great person and a giving person and he's going to be missed deeply," said Ronnie Hale, a childhood friend of Rico's.

Despite all the noise, the riders in this procession held a somber feeling in their heart, as they went to spread Rico's ashes. All riders, all a part of his family.

"The rest of all these people here are all considered brothers and sisters of Rico's," said Hale.

Friends and family say Rico's body was cremated and his ashes spread out around a personal location.
