Melissa Schroeder started working as a multi-media journalist at KRIS in July of 2009. She wanted to be a reporter since elementary school and now she's living her dream here in South Texas.

Melissa brings ten years experience to KRIS both in front of and behind the camera. She's worked at stations in Dayton and Columbus, OH, San Diego, CA and Dalton, GA. Although Melissa was born a Buckeye in the state of Ohio, she's thrilled to call Corpus Christi her home.

During her spare time she enjoys volunteer work, watching cheesy horror movies and playing with her rescued pound puppy "Ellie Belle". Melissa is always interested to hear from you and what's going on in your community.
