Man with Ties to Corpus Christi Speaks About his Experience on Apollo 11 Anniversary

CORPUS CHRISTI - Sunday marks the 45th anniversary of the landing of Apollo 11.

On June 20th, 1969 the world's attention was focused on an event unfolding more than a quarter-million miles away.

A man with Corpus Christi ties had a hand in landing Apollo 11. Homer Ahr now lives near Marble Falls, but spent most of his youth in Corpus Christi.

He worked mission control as the flight dynamics officer for Apollo 11, and spoke with us about his experience on that historic day.
