Man Wanted for Murder in Austin Caught Reentering U.S.

BROWNSVILLE - A man wanted for murder in Travis County was arrested trying to reenter the country illegally in Cameron County, along the Mexican border, according to Border Patrol.

Roy Rogers Soliz, 58, of Plugerville is U.S. Citizen but did not try to come back home using a port of entry. Following his arrest, agents checked his records and found warrant for murder, terroristic threats, interfering with an emergency call and assault.

The Travis County Sheriff's Department sought Soliz for the January 21st murder of 38-year-old Christopher Carson. Soliz is now awaiting extradition to Austin.
