CORPUS CHRISTI - It took two hours for negotiators to talk a man down from the harbor bridge earlier today.
Around noon, this man climbed over the railing of the bridge, walked out onto the ledge, as he held on to the rails, he leaned over the water, and was literally on the verge of letting go.
Officers were able to talk him out of it...and pull him to safety. The outside lane on the bridge was closed for about an hour as the CCPD negotiation team pulled the guy to safety.
They say he was going thru some hard times with his family. Officers say he's in the hospital. He'll undergo a mental evaluation.
