CORPUS CHRISTI - Even though it has taken a year and a half of waiting, a Corpus Christi woman says she's gotten justice for the murder of her daughter.
Prosecutors say Charles Bryant was sentenced to life in prison for the killing his ex-girlfriend. Bryant was convicted of fatally shooting 25-year-old Danielle Vargas at her aunt's home in Houston back in June of 2008. He was also fined $10,000 and will not be eligible for parole until 2039.
Danielle's mother say the conviction has give her and the family some closure.
