CORPUS CHRISTI - 26-year-old Quincy Oliver was already on probation on a misdemeanor assault charge. But he did something because there was a warrant out on a motion to revoke his probation.
Oliver apparently didn't know about the warrant until he showed up at Adult Probation for a regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday.
At that point, according to Judy Randolph, Deputy Director of Adult Probation, Oliver reportedly ran out of the office and across the street to Moody High School. Randolph recalled, "I heard somebody say he wasn't gonna be arrested, and I thought 'well is he running if he's not gonna be arrested?' That doesn't make sense. And they said 'no.' He said he wasn't gonna be arrested."
Randolph confirmed that 2 female probation officers, one of them Yvonne Valadez, ran after Oliver and that other law enforcement agencies had already been contacted about Oliver's whereabouts at the time.
The school was immediately placed on lockdown for 15 minutes until Oliver was caught at the baseball field.
Oliver's now back in the Nueces County Jail
