Man Rolls SUV 3-4 Times On The Island

CORPUS CHRISTI -- Police say a man who flipped his SUV and went to the hospital was likely drunk.

Officers say the man sped down the 14,000 block of Whitecap, switched lanes, lost control and hit the median.

He then hit a palm tree and rolled three or four times back onto the road.

This happened around 9:30 Saturday night.

The one man in the SUV went to the hospital with serious injuries, but he's expected to survive.

He could be charged with DWI when he gets better.

No one else was involved in the accident.

The man's name wasn't released.
