CORPUS CHRISTI -- The man who started a push to recall the mayor and all at-large city council members in June now wants to recall two more members.
Ruben Mirales is now spearheading an effort to recall district members Colleen McIntyre and Kelley Allen, citing their votes to support Destination Bayfront and the street user fee.
In June, Mirales started circulating petitions to recall Mayor Nelda Martinez and At-Large council members Mark Scott, David Loeb and Lillian Riojas.
He said while he initially considered trying to recall council members Rudy Garza and Chad Magill, he has abandoned that effort because they have been "flying right."
The only council member Mirales has never sought to recall is Priscilla Leal because she has "stood up for the citizens of Corpus Christi enough times."
Mirales needs 10,000 signatures to recall the at-large members and 3,500 each for McIntyre and Allen.
Neither McIntyre nor Allen could be reached for comment.
