CORPUS CHRISTI - A man tried to hide from a fire in his home by hiding in a closet Friday night.
The fire broke out around 9 p.m. Friday at a home on the 1500 block of 15th Street.
Three people were in the home when the fire broke out.
Two got out safely but one man couldn't get out so he locked himself in a closet.
He finally made it out but had to go to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
The fire caused damage to the first floor of the two story structure.
It's not known what started the fire.
