SAN ANTONIO - A South Texas man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison over a mugging in which a woman was shot and run over.
A judge in San Antonio on Wednesday accepted the plea agreement from Adam Rincon (rin-KOHN').
Rincon was charged with capital murder in the July 2011 attack on Cecilia Tijerina during what police call a mugging spree.
Authorities say a dropped insurance card from an earlier robbery led to Rincon.
Police say Rincon, who pleaded guilty to murder, shot Tijerina in the back when he tried to rob her and she said she had nothing to give him.
