Man Dead After Overnight Shooting

CORPUS CHRISTI-- A man was killed in an overnight shooting.

The shooting happened right after 11:00pm last night at the intersection of Staples St. and Stirman St.

A passerby saw the man stumbling and collapse, so they called 911.

When police and EMS crews arrived, they discovered the man had a gun shot wound to the chest.

He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Police do not have any suspects, and there are no other witnesses. Police will continue to investigate.
