Man Charged With DWI After Rollover Accident on S.P.I.D.

CORPUS CHRISTI -- One man was involved in a vehicle rollover crash just after one this morning.

Witnesses say that the man was in the turnaround lane on S.P.I.D and Staples St. when he hit the curb.

He overcorrected his car and went up the embankment. His car rolled down the embankment.

When police arrived, he was trapped in his car. Officials were able to get him out.

He did not appear to have any major injuries. Although he refused medical attention, he was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

He will be taken to jail and charged with failure to control speed and DWI.
