Man Arrested for Burglarizing Appliance Mart

CORPUS CHRISTI -- A man couldn't escape police after they say he broke into the Appliance Mart on SPID early this morning.

Albert Ybanez, 31, found himself faced with a ten foot fence as police chased him in a nearby neighborhood, but he had little luck getting over. Police say while he was running, he dropped several envelopes from Appliance Mart along the way.

Officers checked out the business and found that the front door glass was shattered. A hammer and mask were also found nearby.

Ybanez faces charges of burglary, evading and failing to identify himself.
