FORT WORTH, Texas - Fort Worth police are looking for a man who authorities allege killed a dog by throwing the canine off a bridge.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports a witness told police that he was driving on a street Thursday afternoon in northeast Fort Worth when he saw the man walking a dog on the sidewalk on the south side of the road.
The witness says he then saw the man throw the dog over the bridge and then walk away.
Officers who responded to the scene saw a brown dog lying in a creek below. The breed of the dog, which did not have a collar, was unknown.
