CORPUS CHRISTI - Every 38 minutes Make-A-Wish grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories. Volunteers play an important role in all phases of the wish-granting process.
Last year, volunteers in the Corpus Christi area helped grant over 30 wishes for local children.
Make-A-Wish of the Texas Gulf Coast is sponsoring a Volunteer Training session Thursday, January 16th from 5-7 PM. The event is happening at Grimaldi's Pizzeria, located at La Palmera Mall (5488 S.P.I.D.). Anyone interested in attending is asked to RSVP by calling Nikki Eliason at (713) 942-9474.
Spanish-speaking volunteers are especially needed.
