ROBSTOWN -- There are more problems for Robstown's new elementary school.
As we've reported, construction on Romero Elementary fell behind schedule this summer delaying the opening of the school.
And during a board meeting tonight, the principal said the school has no internet, no intercom and there are very few working phone lines.
She told board members parents are irritated about this.
The board president made a promise to resolve the issue soon.
Alfonso Lopez said, "I can assure you that hopefully within two or three days we'll know exactly where we're at."
The reporter asked, "And there has to be some concern with safety without having an intercom system?"
Lopez answered, "Well, yeah. Again that's shocking to me. I'll be very honest with you, up until our last Saturday meeting I wasn't even aware of this."
