NUECES COUNTY - Emergency crews are working two major crashes on FM 70 (Chapman Ranch Rd). Fire crews had trouble finding out the exact location of the worst crash due to confusion from witnesses on their exact location.
Scanner traffic indicates three vehicles were involved in the crash near the curve at FM 67. Several patients are seriously injured, including some who are trapped in a truck.
Crews from multiple departments are at the scene. Halo Flight is unable to launch due to poor weather conditions.
There's also a tractor-trailer is flipped near the intersection with Hwy 286 at the Chapman Ranch post office.
Law enforcement is directing traffic off onto smaller county roads in both areas. State troopers have not provided any information on the crashes yet.
