KINGSVILLE - The Kingsville ISD school board took no action today against member Rudy Macareno during a closed door discussion on his recent indictment for indecency with a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Macareno attended today's meeting, taking his normal seat alongside board members. He is not resigning his position.
No action was taken by the board. Macareno will remain on the board unless he is convicted on the felony charges.
A grand jury indicted him last week which lead to a warrant for his arrest to be issued. However, Macareno did not surrender until Monday evening. He bonded out of jail the next day.
His attorney declined to comment on the matter.
