Local Twinkie Tycoons Make Serious Dough

CORPUS CHRISTI - When Hank Harrison, Mikey Ayers and Adam Rasmussen heard that Twinkies were now an endangered pastry, a plan was hatched.
"I don't think I've had a Twinkie in 15 years, now I have 450 Twinkies," said Mikey Ayers.
After doing some research online, the boys discovered that Twinkies were being sold on Ebay for anywhere between $25 to $100 a box! So they made several calls to local grocery stores until they found the mother load.
"Just called them and were like, you got any Twinkies left? They said yeah, we got a couple boxes, how many do you need? We just said, all of them," Adam said.
Instead of a couple of boxes, these pastry pushers bought five cases of Twinkies for $110. Almost cleaning out the store's whole stock.
"I mean, we weren't the first people on this, by any means. We just got lucky and found an HEB that had 5 cases and now we're selling them for 25 bucks a pop on Ebay," said Harrison.
As of now, the guys have sold nearly two thirds of their Twinkie stash and with each case containing 9 boxes of Twinkies, each box being sold for about $25 each and the results are impressive.
Mikey said, "So, right now, we're looking at about $600 profit."
Come Monday, these Twinkie tycoons expect to have sold the rest of their treats and will head to the post office to ship them out, all over the country. Having made some serious dough.
