CORPUS CHRISTI - A local woman has pled guilty to buying and selling stolen products from her southside store. Police arrested Norma Palacios back in April, after an undercover operation revealed that she was buying and re-selling stolen meat.
Police arrested Palacios at her store and found over $2,500 worth of stolen meat products.
Their undercover investigation revealed that Palacios would place orders with a man who would steal the meat from H.E.B. Then, he would return to Palacios's store and sell the meat to her for cheap.
That's when she would turn around and sell the stolen meat from her store.
This was Palacios's response when we tried to ask her why she bought and sold stolen meat.
"I don't want to discuss that," Palacios says.
After pleading guilty, Palacios was given 4 years probation.
