Local Mother Accused of Leaving Children Home Alone to Appear Before Judge

CORPOUS CHRISTI - The woman who was arrested after a CPS worker found she left her 2 small children home alone will appear in court today.

Maria Carrejo is scheduled to appear before Judge Brent Chesney in County Court at Law 5 this morning. On October 23rd, her two small children were found home alone inside their apartment at Treyway Terrace Apartments by a CPS worker. The following day a hearing was held in the case. A judge officially placed the two children in foster care after he was told the kids had scabies, blisters, lice, and strep throat.
