CORPUS CHRISTI -- After about four hours of deliberations, a Nueces County jury acquitted a man for murder.
Xavier Salinas was found not guilty of killing his co-worker Nathaniel Vargas.
He was hit in a drive-by shooting while walking on Omaha Drive March 15th.
An RTA camera spotted Salinas' vehicle in the area but he claimed he was only there looking for a prostitute and never shot anyone.
The prosecutor on the case says he's disappointed with the verdict.
The reporter asked, "What happens next do the police start looking for another suspect?"
Prosecutor Joe Mike Pena said, "Well I'm convinced there is no other suspect. I say the jury didn't get beyond a reason of doubt that he committed this murder but I was convinced we had the right man."
Salinas will be released from the county jail sometime this evening.
