CORPUS CHRISTI - She started singing for us at just 17. Now, 27 year-old Clarissa Serna is singing for the entire nation on NBC's The Voice.
A group of family and friends celebrated her blind audition at Talon's last night, where Serna told us to keep an eye out for a "familiar face."
Only four voices got every coach to turn their chair on last night's episode, and hers was one of them.
She chose Shakira, who said she loved the song choice, the 90's rock hit Zombie by The Cranberries.
Now, Serna has to pass two more stages of competition before she can perform live.
Once she reaches the live competition, America will get to vote on her voice.
Her family said that no matter what America decides, they'll be standing by Serna's side the entire way.
"Whatever the Lord wishes for her to pursue, we're with her," said her father Richard Serna. "We're supporting her, 100 percent."
The Voice airs every Monday and Tuesday at 7 pm on KRIS 6.
