Local Artist Shows Off His "Coastal Visions"

CORPUS CHRISTI- Abstract paintings by a local artist are now on display in Flour Bluff.
The artist behind the exhibit, Sam Soles, says the way he discovered he could paint five years ago after receiving a gift from his kids.
"You know how your kids always buy you ugly presents for Christmas...ties and stuff. Well one year my kids bought me a beginner paint set and I took offense to it and started painting and this is where it lead me to."
All of his work, titled Coastal Visions, is about living along the coast.
The exhibit is free and it will be open at the Janet Harte Public Library on Waldron Road in Flour Bluff until the end of December.
