CORPUS CHRISTI -- A six year-old Corpus Christi girl -- who gets a weekly allowance for good grades -- decided she wanted to do something different with her money.
Little Samarah Ordonez didn't buy barbie dolls or video games, instead she decided to help feed the homeless.
She did just that today in downtown Corpus Christi with her mother.
Samarah put together the lunches with a ham and cheese sandwich, chips and water on Saturday and passed out the bags to the homeless on Sunday.
Her mother said she came up with the idea herself after seeing a homeless man on Everhart.
Samarah's mom said, "She wants to make a difference on her own, she doesn't need my help and it's a good feeling for a parent."
