CORPUS CHRISTI - A relatively quiet weather pattern is on tap for most of the week as a dry high pressure system will keep afternoon temperatures hot in the middle to upper 90s with light winds.
Today will be mostly sunny with afternoon highs in the lower to middle 90s here in the city and upper 80s along the coast. Winds: SE 8-16mph
Tonight a few clouds will roll into the area making for a partly cloudy evening with some patchy fog possible in the overnight hours. Winds: SE 4-8mph
A front currently situated in the Rockies will translate eastward and drag another late-season front into our area early Friday morning and will only temporarily switch the winds to the north for a few hours and bring a stray shot at a few showers. Temperatures will almost have no impact to the front with the exception of a couple of degrees cooler. Southeast winds will quickly return by the afternoon and our dry/hot pattern will commence with breezy conditions for the weekend with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies.
